Maggie’s Love Boxes

Maggie's Ministry, established in 2008 to honor the life of Maggie Lynn Achuff, a brave 4-year-old who battled Neuroblastoma, a childhood brain cancer. We supported Maggie's family throughout her treatments and, after her passing, pledged to keep her legacy alive. Inspired by Maggie, our mission emphasizes that families should not face this journey alone. While our offerings aren't cures, they serve as reminders that these children are not forgotten. LOVE WORKS: One hospital, one family, one patient at a time.

What we do

Our goal is to provide a little bit of normalcy to the patients and their families. Maggie’s Love Boxes currently delivers LOVE boxes to two hospitals, Children’s Hospital in King of Prussia and Nemours/Alfred duPont Hospital for children in Wilmington. The love boxes contain NEW items that the children play with on a standard hospital table.  We supply love boxes to infants, toddlers, preschool, elementary, middle school and teens.  We recently added special Love boxes made for patients battling self-harm tendencies. In addition, we pack care bags for parents whose infants are hospitalized.

Get Involved!

Participating in Maggie’s Love Boxes provides a chance to positively impact a child’s day. Depending on your interests you can shop for the most fun or cherished items to be placed into the boxes, create silly and fun cards for the patients to go inside the boxes, tie blankets or look through our supplies and pack a special box for a child of your choice.  No matter which you select, know that you helped to make a child battling a medical monster smile.
