Love Works Food Pantry

Open for order pick-ups on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.

The food pantry was started in 2010 by members of the Love Works ministry of Hope Community Church. Since then we have distributed over 5,500 bags of groceries with almost half of that number being distributed exclusively during the pandemic. We provide nonperishable pantry staples, toiletries, household products, diapers, wipes, formula, and fresh food items (milk, eggs, bread, meat, cheese, yogurt, produce, etc.)

What we do

According to data from the USDA, 14.8% of US households were affected by food insecurity and 38.3 million people lived in food-insecure households in 2020. Now as food prices continue to increase, we expect the need for supplemental resources to rise as well.

Get Involved!

As a non-profit organization, the Love Works Resource Center food pantry relies on volunteers to fulfill our vision that no resident of Montgomery County should be hungry.  When you donate your time to LWRC, you become a partner in the fight against hunger in Montco!

Volunteers can sign up for two hour shifts on either Tuesdays or Saturdays, depending on what works best for their schedules. Some of the tasks involved during a food pantry shift might include processing donations, shelving, packing orders, and taking inventory.

If you have any questions about volunteering, please feel free to reach out to Jess Melniczak at jmelniczak@loveworksrc.org.
